A boiler that keeps losing pressure can turn a comfortable home into a cold one quickly, especially during a Chicagoland winter. Call for boiler service if pressure drops again after a refill, falls to zero, or keeps falling even when the heat is off. If you smell gas, leave the area, avoid switches or open flames, and contact your gas utility or emergency services from a safe location. A pressure problem does not necessarily involve gas, but gas odors always require immediate action.
